Are there any high school or college kids in here learning Clojure/ClojureScript? Would be cool to connect with some of y’all. 🙂 I just turned 20 and am here in Berkeley.

What’s the explanation for varying ping time on wifi (vs constant on cable)? I see this at home and also at the coffee bar I’m at now

borkdude08:09:59

varying as in 11-1100 ms

internet routing varies from time to time. my guess is that on wifi you are subject to more packet loss and at a coffee bar you likely are suffering from congestion.

@credmp re: your earlier question about Das Keyboard- I have the Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate (blank keycaps) - I really like it, works perfectly with my Mac

credmp19:09:15

nice! thanks!

credmp19:09:27

brown or blue?

zzamboni19:09:57

brown I think - the soft-click version, I decided for it because I work in an open-space office

credmp19:09:12

ah and how do your colleagues like it?

zzamboni19:09:19

no one has complained so far 😉

credmp19:09:22

is it lot more noisy then a standard keyboarD?

zzamboni19:09:32

not significantly in my opinion

credmp19:09:54

that is what I was wondering indeed

zzamboni19:09:04

it also seems really indestructible, very nicely built

zzamboni19:09:19

I've even found the bottom detachable ruler useful a couple of times 🙂

credmp19:09:23

that is too funny

credmp19:09:34

I thought it was quite an interesting feature

credmp19:09:39

kinda quirky

zzamboni19:09:28

A colleague has a Planck (http://olkb.com/planck/), which is a bit too minimalistic for my taste, and in his case people have complained about the click
