Not sure if this is the right forum/channel for this or not, but I am currently searching for a Clojure job in Pittsburgh or DC and I wanted to reach out to everyone and see if they are hiring, or know about an open position. I also have experience with Datomic/Datalog, and Clojurescript.
@sveri: @mitchelkuijpers: Xodus is looking lovely so far.
That LuxLang license issue discussion is great. Thanks for pointing it out.
@bruceadams: agreed, it was the first time I understood at least some of the implications, I hate that license stuff, really
@jtackett I'm in Pittsburgh and ran the Pittsburgh Clojure user group until it got folding into Code & Supply. I don't know of open positions at the moment (and my day job does not use Clojure). There is a #C05006WDW channel here. I suggest speaking up in #C05006WDW
Note that the GPL part of the discussion is largely moot, since it now seems pretty clear you can’t write GPL code in Clojure anyway
Until I read that discussion, I hadn't realized that one couldn't write GPL code in Clojure.
@bruceadams: There’s been some semi-drama about it recently, there was a discussion on the ML and in #C03S1KBA2 as well
I guess I've been more successful than I realized at avoiding Internet dramas.
Anyway, thanks for the additional context.
Good news @cfleming
@mitchelkuijpers: I’m using a somewhat different approach to yours, I’ll send some code when I’m done with it. But it works really nicely with nippy.
@cfleming: I might be very interested in it, Ill open-source some stuff this weekend probably
@bruceadams: supposedly you can use GPL with an extra clause to allow mixing with the EPL, but any other GPL libraries you include would also have to have that clause
