on the subject of licenses, I want to copy some code from one project (not mine) to another (mine)
ie from https://github.com/Deraen/vim-cider to https://github.com/MailOnline/vim-cljrefactor
I will chat to the dev of vim-cider before even attempting this, but I’m curious if how I go about figuring out if the licenses are compatible
IE the MIT license on daraen’s project (http://opensource.org/licenses/MIT) seems to say I can do what I want as long as I ship a copy of the MIT license
Does this then mean that the vim-cljrefacftor project is dual licensed?
so confusing
@clumsyjedi: It's enough for me if you mention to original project before copied parts :d
But if you want to comply with the licence you should copy the MIT file to your project but you can add a mention before the licence text describing what parts it affects
@juhoteperi: sounds good, glad your slack username matches your git username in this istance
by the by, do you have any plans to push further with that cider vim stuff
we have lofty ambitions for our one but we’re kind of hampered by the fact we don’t realy know any vimscript
there’s always the option of sending you a pull req containing our FindUsages implementation
@clumsyjedi: Yes, I do have plans but I don't have time
I would be open to PR and adding you as collaborator to the project
Really cool screencast series on clojure and clojurescript (with a smattering of emacs) : http://www.parens-of-the-dead.com/
dude, Falcor is blowing my mind right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOE6nVVr14c
