another spacemacs++ here, i’ve been using it for a few months now

spacemacs++ from me. I felt so free after throwing out my ducttape and glue emacs config and switching over. Spacemacs has a thing they call "layers" which is a (finally!) a sane way to organize your own personal config in a way that works within the broader spacemacs framework

ok then Vernor Vinge - Zones of Thought series the first book is A Fire Upon the Deep

it has a very classic feel with Isaac Asimov’s level of ideas and attention to details
