If you’re looking for a place in Manhattan the Ace Hotel is okay for this purpose, but I’m curious what other people will say.

Eastwood on the Lower East Side is good and usually the music is at a good level for conversation

(I live in New York, but will be away following the conj. Sad to miss out on this!)

I haven't been to either of these locations but am fine with either. If a vote is useful I would go with Eastwood merely because it's a little more convenient for me but I'll be there either way!

(Eastwood also has good and relatively affordable food options)
