The Funktion One is going to be too much speaker for any kind of residential indoor use.

(In a past life, I designed sound systems for off broadway / broadway style shows. I mostly built d&b / l’Acoustic / Meyer systems. Speakers like that - including similar speakers made by Funktion One - have characteristics that make them unsuitable for nearfield listening.)

F1 is a little obsession of mine, I've enjoyed them in all sort of settings and know their sound quite well. Of course if I were dropping the big bucks in them, I'd move to a house that is at least remotely capable of hosting them. Also they really have a really diverse/modular offering.

Ultimately getting them will be undoubtedly a risky bet, but I seek into learning more and more on pro audio. I've found that the higher-end stuff I purchase, the more serious I get into it, and the more I enjoy it
