One of my favorite singers released a brand new album today: singing Persian poetry over a sparse (Norwegian) jazz piano and bass backing -- https://music.apple.com/us/album/enlighten-the-night/1518607463 -- beautiful music! The music reminds me of Terje Rypdal and Jan Garbarek (both Norwegian) who released some fascinating albums on the ECM label in the 1970's.
A great listen, thanks! Do you have an album recommendation for Rypdal or Garbarek?
@UU1GF5MGQ For Jan Garbarek, my all-time favorite is "Dis".
Terje Rypdal is a tougher choice... two of his early albums are a good place to start: "Terje Rypdal" and "What Comes After". Garbarek also plays on that self-titled album.
