Does anybody wish to prepare an online talk about #malli? For the upcoming https://scicloj.github.io/macroexpand-2025/ conferences, Malli-related talk proposals will be highly appreciated. E.g.; • a beginner-friendly tutorial talk about Malli for the https://scicloj.github.io/macroexpand-2025/macroexpand_noj.html conferece • a talk about integrating Malli with LLM workflows for the https://scicloj.github.io/macroexpand-2025/macroexpand_deep.html conference • etc.
Since my forte is not in data science but in backend, I believe relevance would be inversely correlated to the order of the list. Additionally, I'm not 100% familiar with the needs of data scientists thus use cases aren't as obvious to me. An intro I can give if you wake me up in the middle of the night, the rest we would need to do some discovery on.
An intro would be amazing. I really like the way you teach.
I've given about half a dozen malli intros by now, I could give it another go if you'd like. What's the scope of the tutorial and expected run time?
Many thanks @ben.sless. Most talks will probably be 30 minutes talk + 20 minutes discussion, but we are open to other formats if that seems important for a specific talk. Any of the following would be a great talk proposal: • a basic conceptual intro of the main ideas • specific use cases with datasets that can be shared publicly • uses in data analysis • using Malli with LLMs -- "malling for AI", as @sia.mohammady66 calls it The last one probably has the highest chance of being accepted, since https://scicloj.github.io/macroexpand-2025/macroexpand_deep.html (the AI conference) currently has less proposals than https://scicloj.github.io/macroexpand-2025/macroexpand_noj.html (the data conference). But I'd say the chances are high for all of the above.
