ugh. back to trying to see why lein is insisting on trying to compile test classes in a (checkout) dependency

at this point I don’t even know where to look

I’ve even deployed the dependency to a local repo and removed it as a checkout dep

aha… it wasn’t leiningen after all! the library had a user.clj in src/ that pulled in all the test deps. bug filed.
