I was wondering if i'm missing some steps or if it should work

@kah0ona btw, there is lein checkouts for tweaking deps locally, it’s much easier, than installing locally, imo — https://github.com/technomancy/leiningen/blob/master/doc/TUTORIAL.md#checkout-dependencies

for now i found another library which i'll try first, since it seems to be more up to date (amazonica)
