If you're on OSX I would recommend getting Emacs from homebrew and using the osx configuration layer

broquaint10:08:20

The OSX configuration layer?

tcsavage11:08:47

It just defines some quality-of-life bindings

for my teammates at the dojo on tuesday, here is the example we worked on https://github.com/sonwh98/cljs-famous-seed

I used spacemacs for a while last winter and loved it, but it seemed to go through phases of being extremely buggy which got old so I switched away. Is it more stable these days?

tcsavage15:08:14

I'll admit that I've had Emacs completely lock-up a couple of times (not too recently) but other than that it seems pretty stable to me
