Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Clojure community needs to get a bit better at finding analogies & writing simple conceptual introductions to libraries, language features, etc. ? There are some good talks that make the point succinctly but docs around libs stump me most of the time!

So, as an example, I find the documentation around Om obfuscates the concepts but that may just be my inability to grok things without trying them out more than once. I found the docs on Stuart Sierra’s components OK but his talk to ClojureWest explains it so much better.

Need for technical writers?

I found the component docs quite confusing too. Good technical writing is a skill in itself though, maybe we just don't have the same volume of technical writers?

Obviously with OSS projects involving Tech Writers is challenging as they need to buy into the Open Source philosophy
