whoa, lots of cool monadic stuff here since I last checked in. Will need to find time to read and digest. I grokked the whole monad thing once, after an intensive day-long workshop at a Yow conference… but I’ve lost some of the clarity I had then; the funcool/cats stuff might just revive my interest!

Looks like we are taking a Skills Matter break until September and then we'll be in their new space so no talks until September unless someone can come up with an alternative venue

@otfrom: what are the requirements of a venue ?

projector, access, room for enough people to attend

(audiences can vary from 6 to 150, but most are 20-50)

can limit the numbers if the space is smaller, but it is nice to hold more than 30 if poss

video or audio records in lovely, but not required.

the trampery @ old st has a room that can hold 200... it's quite busy, but i'll ask charles what the possibility is for a ldnclj freebie
