EDIT: this role is now closed for new applicants; sorry! We're hiring a Clojure dev: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRknMmGzE0aWvgB5cHn88xoNlWECGGT9JmwIGRqutcMAvsjgP5Voe8N8gT2OuRQATDAc46lAM3z7lkI/pub I'm not the HM, so I can try to answer questions but you're probably best off following the instructions and emailing, so you can talk to someone who knows what they're talking about :)
Yeah, sorry; we got something like 50 or so applicants so we closed it, otherwise we were never going to hit a reasonable response time
Do you happen to know the turnaround time between putting in an application and hearing back from the team about whether they'd like to move forward or not?
Looks like our last hire’s cycle was 2 weeks. They first applied for a slightly different role that has different qualifiers. On the other hand, about 20x more applicants for this role this time around. We’re trying pretty hard to do early rejections if we don’t think it’s plausible but we also want to give everyone a fair shake and so a substantial portion of that timeline isn’t in our control.
That makes a lot of sense; thank you for sharing. 🙏🏻
@lvh Is the hiring for this position closed? I saw this, "We're sorry. This document is not published.", when I tried to access the link you posted.
How big is the team so far?
We have a few people in hybrid roles (i.e. partially client delivery, partially developing said systems), so it depends a little bit on how you count, but nominally manager + 7 IC right now.
(I think it probably "feels" closer to manager + 6, because at least one of those is pretty focused on customer delivery and using the tools (while incidentally developing them) as opposed to being primarily responsible for producing infrastructure to support the consultancy )
