Hi all! I'm leading the (five-person) engineering team of Viduet Health in The Netherlands. We have a software platform for (typically chronically ill) patients and care providers. We aim to save the care provider time by taking care of a lot of things they shouldn't have to do themselves, and by only involving them when it's really needed. And on the other hand we aim to help the patient by giving them more insight and control over their condition. Most of our stack is Clojure/ClojureScript (backend, frontend, RN app). After hiring a few more junior people, we now are looking to hire a more senior colleague. To that end, we have opened two vacancies. They are similar but have different focus, one more on the functional architecture side and the other more on the devops side. β’ https://viduet.eu/en/vacature/software-engineer-functional-programming-medior-senior-32-40-hours/ β’ https://viduet.eu/en/vacature/devops-software-engineer-medior-senior-32-40-hour/ Please note this is targeted at people who are already living in The Netherlands or are willing to move to The Netherlands. Also, as we value also the non-tech aspects of working together, we ask new colleagues to learn Dutch if they don't speak it yet. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Drats. Was looking good for me until I got to βYou are smartβ.
yeah for more Clojure in the Netherlands
@macrobartfast I slightly updated the wording. It's difficult to stay away from those standard job-posting phrases though. It no longer says that you have to be smart, even though you obviously do π
I learned the other day that smart in this case is an Americanism and the proper British English term would be clever. (Smart in the UK would mean well dressed)
Oh my I never even realised that the UK meaning is very different, thanks for pointing that out!
same here.
The US and the UK: two countries divided by a common language.

Iβm thrilled you are applying Clojure/CLJS to helping people in the healthcare space! And you are heroes for having hired Junior Devs, which is the number one need for a healthy language ecosystem. Well done! πβ‘
Indeed! π
Griffin are hiring Clojure & ClojureScript engineers in the UK, Ireland, Germany or Sweden, working fully remote although there is a small London office and shared working space options. We have a very good engineering culture and very collaborative. There are lots of challenges to solve and agency to drive your own ideas and designs as we grow. The engineering team is 30+ and growing and I would be happy to discuss what its like working at Griffin We are officially a bank and offer a range of banking services to commercial customers and other Fintech Startups. Any banking experience is welcome, but not necessary (there are many challenges to solve that support more specific banking services) β’ https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/griffin/jobs/5712712003 β’ https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/griffin/jobs/5717347003 Feel free to DM me here on slack if there is more you would like to know
Good to see this on Clojurians; I've already been in touch with Kieron about a role
I applied to Griffin twice already but they said I don't have enough experience so it's just chicken and egg.
Happy to DM if you didnt get enough feedback from us. Griffin are growing more now than in the past, so there are more opportunities although yes we do look for strong distributed system experience or full stack experience for more senior roles. I am available to discuss further in DM if its of use to you.
I've applied for EM role π€
