Any Clojure Developers in the States (must sit in the office in the US) looking for a new role?
> Sorry to have deceived you
I think you didn't because you said enough. My argument was the same as seancorfield -- be precise in what you ask for.
Even if you write one sentence.
There are too many recruiters that say "hybrid but actually on-site" or "remote but actually located in a specific country and actually hybrid".
Yes @invertisment_clojuria this is indeed
I feel you @seancorfield I was just trying to resurface this as I was getting all over the world but the offices I need. This one is in Los Angeles, particularly Agoura Hills, CA
It's best to write the location because my location is in Europe and it's irrelevant for me.
A lot of people are desperate enough for work that they'll jump on any recruiter to see if there's a way to do the work remotely or from another office. Hiring for a specific location and requiring in-office presence is definitely going to limit your choices. I've worked almost 100% remote since early 2007 at this point, and I won't even consider commuting across the Bay to SV or SF!
@invertisment_clojuria, I wrote US onsite. Sorry to have deceived you
I get you @seancorfield, I was remote since 2009. Then COVID hit and everyone wants remote. I get it as I think that is the smartest for a multitude of reasons, I am just sharing what I have. I don't write the requirements, I just sell them.

You might want to specific where those non-remote offices are actually situated -- the US is kinda big, unless you're offering to cover relocation 🙂
Isn't it this same location? https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C05006WDW/p1723743475006009
