Scala... I think @U04V70XH6 would be interested to take a look

@U028ART884X Not sure why you tagged me on this, unless you're hinting this is an OT post and should be removed? It caused this recruiter to reach out to me via DM which is against the rules -- we do not permit unsolicited commercial DMs.

It is purely a Scala offering.

seancorfield18:06:38

It may be of interest to folks who like Clojure but work in a non-Clojure environment and would prefer to at least get into a functional environment and might like to do Scala for a living. Based on discussions in #other-languages and #off-topic there are certainly people here who would be happier doing Scala than what they're currently doing, if they can't get a Clojure job. My path to Clojure was via Scala too. I have warned that recruiter not to DM anyone here about the job. If other people feel that (non-Clojure) FP jobs open to people who know Clojure are too annoying/intrusive/off-topic, then the Admin team can take a firmer hand on this. I'll raise the issue with them.

are you guys considering candidates outside of Switzerland?

jcf11:06:16

> The core team is based in Geneva, in beautiful Switzerland. While remote working is possible, a regular presence in Geneva is expected. It sounds like this job requires candidates to be able to work in Switzerland.

meb12:07:49

We are considering candidates outside Switzerland. But we are not yet a fully distributed team, so we want to be clear about that. We are having all hands meeting in Switzerland to re-group and share, so you will have to be able to travel from time to time.
