Visa Austin is looking for Clojure developers to add new features to our Java stack. We encourage diversity an d provides sponsorship. https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Visa/743999798037439-staff-software-engineer-decision-and-fraud-management-platform https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Visa/743999798038126-senior-software-engineer-decision-and-fraud-management-platform
so it's .... not Clojure?
"Visa Austin is looking for Clojure developers"...?
and that first job spec says "Command of a functional programming language (e.g., Clojure, Elm)."
second one says "Familiarity with Rules Engine and functional programming (e.g., Drools/Clojure)"
(but they do look pretty "Enterprise Java"-ish otherwise)
Yes, we are open to accepting knowledge of a functional programming language. The code base is largely Java but with Clojure as well.
The inspiration is to move off Drools to Clojure, in the vein of this article: http://www.toomuchcode.org/blog/2015/11/14/insta-declarative-dsls/
Requiring USA work authorization: We are also looking for an engineering manager to backfill a colleague's promotion! So this role is not for writing Clojure, but for managing a full-stack team solving challenging problems with Clojure on the backend. https://boards.greenhouse.io/crossbeam/jobs/4289285004 https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C05006WDW/p1640278020187700
