http://iTutor.com is looking for a backend Clojure developer to assist in migrating a legacy application to a new Clojure backend. The job responsibilities will include testing API integrations with Salesforce and other third party API’s, helping write integration and unit tests, help build system monitoring, migrating data from a legacy MySQL DB to a Datomic DB, and interfacing with stakeholders to build and execute requirements. You will be working with one other Clojure developer (me) as well as a React developer (not me). The current stack is Clojure / Datomic / ElasticSearch / React. Pay is competitive and we’re looking for US candidates who can work 9-5 EST (or 11-7 if you’re on the west coast). We’re looking for a temp-to-perm situation. The current Clojure stack is in an advanced state and we need to migrate off a legacy system ASAP and the ideal candidate will be able to assist in supporting the new system after launch and is looking for full-time employment. Thank you, DM me if interested. Looking for principles only. About iTutor: We provide a virtual classroom experience to students in school districts all around the United States. Our goal is to provide access to education to anyone and everyone around the world regardless of their socioeconomic status.
