:flag-gb: Cervest Ltd has another role going live today -> https://cervest.earth/job-description-junior-platform-engineer/
It is competitive for the level of experience and taking into account that we are a start-up business that is a "mission driven" business.
I really don't know much about the COL in London. For pure curiosity, do you know how much would cost a 1 bedroom flat at <30 minutes from Cervest?
Most people at this point in their careers would house-share; living alone is a lot more expensive. A room in a shared house / flat 30-40mins from our office would be £600-800 pcm + bills. To rent your own studio / 1 bed flat would be more - probably £900-1200 pcm + bills
(In both cases these figures are not guaranteed but are a guide, based on this website -> https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tax-calculator/ )
not sure if I’m missing the link but is there not a careers/jobs page link on https://cervest.earth/ ?
When the Careers page goes live this page will move to there if the position is still open.
@U0DPX8ZQB - Our other live job is a more Senior Role and is posted on Functional Works, here -> https://www.works-hub.com/jobs/senior-platform-engineer-clojure-in-london-united-kingdom-35cc6
Thanks @U08ABGP70, that's helpful. People don't consider me a junior anymore, but I don't consider myself a senior developer either. But I could take a hit salary-wise if it means working with something I enjoy so I'll be looking into Cervest
I look forward to hearing from you - [email protected] 😉
If anyone here knows of people that want to get into Clojure professionally, who perhaps don't hang out here on the Clojurians Slack, then please point them at this pinned Tweet -> https://twitter.com/COliverGodby/status/1115916734446305280?s=20
