Hi Clojurians, I head up recruiting for Amperity, a post series-b, machine learning startup, based out of Seattle. We are a full-stack clojure shop, and are currently hiring for Software Engineers, Sr Software Engineers, and Principal Engineers. In terms of location, our preference is to hire individuals in Seattle, WA, but we are open to hiring remote engineers, located within the United States. The types of problems we are solving include: - Ingesting and cleaning large amounts of data daily and blending it with real-time events - Automatically stitching data together across disparate systems by training machine-learning models to build a probabilistic knowledge graph - Taking research algorithms and productionizing them for high-scale usage - Allowing users to perform complex, real-time queries across an aggregated view of their data - Publishing query result data to a diverse set of systems for client usage Amperity uses a modern, high-performance tech stack: - Clojure/Clojurescript - Aurora/Mesos - Accumulo/Hadoop - Spark - Kafka - SaltStack/Terraform - Riemann/InfluxDB/Grafana If interested in learning more, please feel free to check our our open positions at or email me directly at <mailto:[email protected]|[email protected]>.

Hey Sam, are you open to long term contract engineers?

Great question @U0PD452UA. As of now, we are ideally looking for full-time engineers. Are you looking for long-term contract + remote?

@U15GV9EHE yes, I am currently based in SF, but still prefer remote work on contract

Your company looks very attractive. Too bad that you are not accepting remotes from other places, I would have applied.

Thanks for the reply, @U8MJBRSR5! I know its unfortunate, but we are hoping we will be able to support remote engineers outside the United States in the future.
