Right on. I just remember last year or so looking through Craigslist for tech jobs in LA and there was startingly little (and what I did see was either .NET or Ruby not that there’s anything wrong with that).
Just came across this lead functional programmer role at Visa in the Bay Area, CA: http://jobs.visa.com/job/Foster-City-Lead-SW-Engineer-Job-CA-94404/240478400/ Looks like it might be primarily Erlang but it specifically mentions Clojure as a qualification.
