https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C05006WDW/p1748720800033079 in #jobs makes me wonder: am there any Clojure-focused development agencies?
a few come to mind: • https://flexiana.com • https://www.juxt.pro • https://www.metosin.fi
I recalled http://magnet.coop too, but they seem to have become / been absorbed here: https://www.biotz.io/post/our-secret-tool-a-bit-or-two-about-clojure
That said, I don't think "Clojure" (or any $Technology) is much of a value proposition, as far as business is concerned. Good engineering can be. Fast go-to-market can be. Optics can be ("nobody fires you for buying IBM" etc. etc. etc.
There is also Freshcode https://www.freshcodeit.com/ @nnnsadeh This thread may be of interest to you

Prior to my own discovery of Clojure, I’d never come across anybody talking about it, let alone pitching it as being good for business.
It's a big topic, but I have to stay on task right now. Otherwise I would give you my thoughts about evangelizing Clojure
I’d welcome your thoughts 🙂 IMO, evangelism does impact jobs. If you think this is not on topic for this thread, where would be a good place to have this discussion? #clojure ?
#jobs-discuss perhaps? That's for discussion of the job market and things that affect it.
(i.e., yes it is on-topic so please share! 😁)
Sorry, I was oversharing.
Hope I didn't chill the conversation
carry on
Now that we have a list of Clojure dev shops, I think the original topic's done? I think the only thing I would add is that I wish there were more; but I wouldn't be surprised if this is sort of the end of the list (hm, accidental pun).
Oh yeah, forgot to mention freshcode...
> It's a big topic, but I have to stay on task right now. Otherwise I would give you my thoughts about evangelizing Clojure @danielmartincraig I hope you'll take the time to share those thoughts somewhere. If you don't feel they're specifically related to the job market, maybe #spam-reports would be a good place to kick off a discussion?
Sure I’d be happy to
Thanks for the listings! I'll take a look through them. I use a lot of Metosin libraries and love their philosophy on how Clojure should look. My 2¢ on "clojure as a business value" - I'm looking for a good agency that has skilled Clojure developers since that is what my backend is in. I think especially for a niche language a "Clojure agency," especially focused on teaching Clojure to teams in tech companies, is a bit of a culture smell and part of the reason I left Scala. It is a signal that it's difficult for a professional team to pick up the language and get value from it without paying for expert advice. Also, it creates negative feedback loops that incentivize the language contributors to focus on purity at the expense of user-friendliness.
thanks, @nnnsadeh for your input!
@adityaathalye, we have rebranded the company. Now we are called http://biotz.io.
But I don't know what "agency" means, probably we are not. We don't do body shopping. We just build solutions from scratch using our own tools.
