hello, given my common lisp experience i should probably learn clojure so i can actually make a living using my lisp skills huh? i can leverage my common lisp skills and maybe build a few things with clojure. would this path be more ideal than learning scala? scala has more jobs but at the same time i can leverage my common lisp skills to apply for clojure jobs. im based in the usa and im looking for my first software role. what you all think?

If you want to work with Lisp languages, go for lisp languages. Scala doesn't scratch the same itch at all. But for a first software job I wouldn't put the technology you're working with as a top priority. Having great mentors and a sane engineering culture are much more important.

CL -> Clojure -> jobs? Worked for me.

Hello! Where do you search for Clojure-based jobs? I'm looking to update my guide to a Clojure-centered job search.

while I tried to avoid LinkedIn Jobs for the first 3-4 months of my job search last year, I actually had luck with a "clojure" alert for jobs on there.

but mostly #C05006WDW and #C06B40HMY here on Slack 😁

You can also search Google Jobs for Clojure and set an alert.

Functional Works, here in the Clojurian's Slack, and LinkedIn are the places I'd look.
