Still under 50% of the golden years: https://kennytilton.github.io/whoishiring/ Next month may look like an April Fool's joke: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/10/business/silicon-valley-bank-stock.html?smid=url-share Good thing we love Lisp-ing anyway! 🎉

This shit was wild; it was “rumored questions about liquidity” this morning and “in FDIC receivership” by about noon Eastern time

I have not seen a bank failure that fast since 2007, which is not a comparison that puts my mind at ease

yea, it’s a bit of a shame how few clojure posts i’ve seen the last 2-3 months. i did read an interesting, but very cynical, take on the FAANG(and others) layoffs: https://www.latimes.com/business/technology/story/2023-01-30/column-how-big-tech-is-using-mass-layoffs-to-bring-workers-to-heel it seems to me that the waves of the big players are upsetting the medium and small firms, yet again 🤷 .

I'm stuck doing Java 8 right now and it's hard to even negotiate minimal and critical things like to put an extra effort on monitoring, given that we have deadlines to reach.

It was my safe boat and I cannot rant (but I"m here ranting 😅)
