I’d suggest getting involved in local meetup groups for topics that interest you

Despite what it seems is projected outward from “the tech industry”, working in it can be very community-oriented and making connections can go a very long way

Yeah, a lot of jobs -- especially in niche tech like Clojure -- are gotten through networking: "who you know" so community and meetups can be really important. Also, get involved with open source projects that interest you -- be an engaged user, contribute documentation and examples which are super important (and often underrated), which you can do as a beginner.

are there any clojure meetups happening any time soon?

seancorfield15:10:21

There are several online meetups every month, all around the world.

zendevil.eth21:10:24

Is there a specific place where I can see the list of all meetups?

Search http://meetup.com for clojure should get most of them I suspect.
