I’ll second that for remote work. If you post a remote Clojure position, you’ll be flooded with highly qualified clojurists looking for work. It’s very hard for a non-Clojurist to get a fair chance. It’s not even entirely a case of companies saying “we only want Clojurists” - but even if you are an amazing developer, that position probably has a quite a few amazing applicants who also have Clojure experience.

@dawranliou I work in Boston at an e-commerce company with a really cool product that uses Clojure and we are about to start hiring for two developers, though the roles are not strictly Clojure (full-stack, some js/react/shopify). We don’t have a listing yet but DM me if you’re interested

In Brazil its hard to find job in clojure too… Someday I wish to go to Ireland, but no idea how its jobs in this area there

rcustodio15:01:26

So, in the end, I end up using more NodeJS than clojure

Conor16:01:18

I have never seen any Clojure jobs in Ireland

I think there's a Clojure company in Ireland, I know someone who works for them. But can't remember who they are. Happy to ask around? Someone will remember at work.

Conor19:01:56

Sure, I'd be interested to find out where they are. (It's probably bloody Dublin though)

dominicm19:01:23

I don't think it was

dominicm19:01:33

It was the middle of nowhere

Conor20:01:07

That could describe most of Ireland 😉

Hi Dominic @U09LZR36F, if that Irish company comes to your mind, would you let me know, too, please.

dominicm21:01:47

Sagax is Dublin. But apparently who I was thinking of.

dominicm21:01:55

I could have sworn there was another one elsewhere.

dominicm23:01:02

My company has a list

alexlynham19:01:13

yeah was going to say there's Aviso

alexlynham19:01:22

I think they're remote/part remote too

Conor16:01:29

It'd be nice if there were some, I could go home 🙂

nwjsmith17:01:20

We have a few folks working at CircleCI out of Ireland, and we’re hiring 🙂

Ivan19:01:46

I'm pretty sure, nubank is located in Brazil (Sao Paolo) and they use clojure extensively
