Are you still getting 500s..? My LoadBalancer’s Target Group is showing 100% healthy targets
i'm getting 500s too @maleghast
me too
I just upped the resources for this, now a handful of people visiting the site has it falling over… I am getting timeouts trying to SSH onto the instances and the health-checks have still not tripped…
last time i was forced to use wordpress i ended up putting WP behind a firewall, spidering the site to static html, and serving it off of S3
the WP site admin interface is familiar and ok, but WP is an operational nightmare
Right, thanks All - I’ve provisioned some boxes with more resources and restarted the boxes that were there already and it’s responding a LOT better now
Yeah, works fine for me just now
I have to say, what you are doing does look pretty cool. What ML (and toolchain) are you using?
@maleghast looking good
@jsa-aerial - Thanks very much! 🙂
As for ML, not my area of expertise or activity - we have a Data Science Team that I do not run. My role and the two roles I am recruiting for are in empowering / providing tools, data acquisition / storage ( a holistic internal platform) for the DS team, and results surfacing, and UI for users.
@maleghast Thanks for the info. DBNs, yeah, sounds good. I suppose that stuff is in C/C++? Would be cool if Bayadera would fit https://github.com/uncomplicate/bayadera at some point! 😉
I would be very pleased to get the DS team working in Clojure, but at the moment they are prototyping in R and commodifying in Python
Yeah, then you don't need to 'commodify' your 'prototype'!
@jsa-aerial - Well, yes, but you try getting a bunch of academic Data Scientists to give up R - it’s like trying to get people to stop drinking coffee
@maleghast Haha! Yeah, and to be fair R really is great for sorting out the models
Yeah, there's just so much off the shelf stuff (much of it quite good) that you can reach for that it makes quickly hacking something up pretty 'easy' (maybe not so simple though ...)
Perhaps a little bit off-topic for the channel? This is about discussing jobs (as in, finding a job) etc.
