There was a discussion about this at work yesterday. A lot of people seem to say "AI" when they actually mean "ML". Where the line is drawn between the two is of course another discussion

"AI" is a term for marketing people and founders pitching to VCs. "ML" is something that technologists can actually do/build

I think it's almost a cliche at this point to say that people say they want AI when what they really want is clean data and linear regression

itโ€™s not even that, usually people just want their problems solved and communicate using whichever terms are currently in vogue to sound relevant
