I wonder if companies who attempt to give aptitude+styles tests to potential hires know/care how many people it drives away? The job market is too good to spend 2-3 hours solving visual logic puzzles and ranking arbitrary statements about oneself (for me at least).

depends on the company i guess....i doubt the big guys really care that much. Especially with the total comp they're throwing at people these days.

Hit the nail on the head I think. Misc trading firm with high total comp. The thing is, two competitors didn't require that before offers. Spending 2-3 hours unpaid for a similar offer for a similar job seems strictly worse.
