I can echo @shan's sentiment. I've always tried to hire strong engineers with a remark that the candidate will be seeing a lot of parens on the job. I've yet to meet someone who cared deeply about the syntax in a negative way after working with it.

I've still yet to hire someone or work for someone with prior clojure experience. I've had 3 gigs since I started using clojure over the last 7 years.
