hello! I'm Lyall, coming to you from Tokyo. I'm a long time fan of functional programming and have a small amount of lisp experience but I'm still early on my clojure journeyβcan't wait for the pieces to start coming together. Currently researching options for a server driven (e.g. htmx) web app project, so if anyone has any experiences (positive or negative!) to share about clojure + htmx or any similar libs please let me know!

You just missed our event on HTMX! π https://www.meetup.com/clojure-tokyo/events/300046775/
Also, you may want to reach out to @whamtet, who is very knowledgable on this topic, has some experience and some insight about the limits of using HTMX as well.
ah damn, that sounds like it would've been cool! I'll keep an eye out for future meetups though π
@me1621 Would love to have you out during the next meetup! I haven't finalized it, but next one will be a lighting talks event.
UI-wise, it was a pretty basic form-based CRUD app. Not super heavy on interactivity.
Anecdotal and subjective, but FWIW, I worked on a Clojure + htmx web app at my previous job, and it was by far and away the most pleasant experience of building a web app I've had in my entire career.
@flowthing Can you give any details about what kind of app it was? One of htmx's weaknesses is how potentially chatty apps can become depending on the level of interactivity. Would love to hear what kind of potential pitfalls you all faced.
