Hi, I'm Dustin. I've been a graphic designer for over 15 years but am in the process of transitioning (via a bootcamp) to software engineering. Currently learning a JS/Node stack, and while I love it, would really like to get into Clojure/CLJS. Back in January I played around with Scheme in Racket and absolutely loved it. Actually, it was one of the things that tipped me over into fully committing to this career transition and doing a bootcamp. LISPs seem to be a happy place for me. I'm relatively new to a lot of this, still lots to learn (as my github will reveal) but I'm excited and can't wait to learn from everyone here. Github: https://github.com/drkstn Cheers!

Welcome! I think we are quite a few former-something-else who have been switching to programming after having experienced it using LISP (Clojure in my case).

Hermann13:06:59

Hi, I'm Hermann, a full-stack software developer for 6+ years. In my day job I write software in JavaScript/TypeScript (NodeJS, React). I discovered Clojure about eight years ago when I fell into parallelism hell while writing my Bachelor's thesis in C++, have been tinkering with in in private projects or tools to solve meta-tasks at work. I'm also passionate about social justice and environmental issues (and world peace, of course 😀 ). Looking forward to your advice when I need it, giving mine when I can, and generally get to know y'all!

Hi, I'm Sohang Chopra (from India). I recently finished my B.Tech. final exams. I have been learning & using Python, C++, JS, Haskell, etc. for a few years - but currently have very little professional experience. I started learning Clojure because of its awesome interactive experience with Calva (VS Code extension), and have been very impressed by it so far! My GitHub username is https://github.com/sohang3112 - my other contact info is also on my GitHub profile page.
