Hey I'm Melanie! A long time java user who always got frustrated at side effects everywhere and unnecessary complexity in java application. I came across clojure 12 years ago, and really liked it, but never took the time to practice enough. I no longer do much develop but I think I am at the point where I don't really want to have to write anything else than functional code.
