Here’s hoping that this pivot will help Hyperfiddle to achieve its high ambitions! Even if this is truly sad news for me, personally. I’m going to miss you guys so much! Electric Clojure is such a wonderful piece of 🤯. Thanks for everything you’ve done for us in the Clojure community. 🙏 ❤️
You guys have bills to pay, and Electric is too cool to remain a niche Clojure exclusive thing. It makes sense to try and make the net as wide as possible and see if you can capture more lucrative momentum from the JS community at large. And if it can be built as a lower level substrate with many language bindings/DSL layered on top, that does make more sense for something like Electric. Thanks for all the involvement in Clojure, I wish you success!
Who remembers ClojureScript One? Once React was adopted through Om and Reagent, it was laid to rest. Still, we used React in clojureland like nobody else, right? So I guess Clojurians will still be interested in using the new Electric, if it makes sense.
I remember
I also remember that pedestal used to be a front-end + back-end thing
I also remember that getting off React is quite a theme now too in Clojure-land ;)
