Greetings, Hoplon people, I am eager to relaunch Hoplon as soon as possible and I want to ensure that users have a good experience by default. For this reason, I have removed Boot from Hoplon itself and created a new template that uses Shadow-cljs instead of Boot. I am currently updating the demos and I will also update the http://hoplon.io page. To speed up the process, I propose to remove references to Castra for now. We can add them back later after we get the demos working properly. (I tried to convert one demo and it was mostly functional, but sessions were not working, probably because the headers were not set correctly.) Does anyone object to this idea?
That sounds like a good approach to me 👍 In using Hoplon at work, we've found that Castra is not an essential requirement for a Hoplon app - you can really do whatever you want on the backend.
I never did get around to trying Castra in my Hoplon app and thought of it as optional. Nice to have a clean self-contained story for the front end.
The typing game has stats, and it features random enemies; at the moment, they can be slimes of a random color or bees. https://mynomoto.github.io/buuummm/
i just had an idea for a typing game: a character like Zelda you move around a map, but you move by typing the key corresponding to the direction. and every time the character moves the keys you need to press to go in various directions change maybe the key to fire weapons/etc changes also
so the better you get at touch typing, the more effectively you can maneuver your hero
i guess the idea could be applied to pong or breakout pretty easily
