@alandipert: is github still hosting the http://hoplon.io site? im currently getting a blank page

alandipert00:09:42

flyboarder: it is, it should be back up momentarily... it takes a minute to update

flyboarder00:09:13

oh it's probably building

flyboarder00:09:51

I wanted to try the syntax highlighting 😛

flyboarder03:09:52

alandipert: so pretty now simple_smile

flyboarder14:09:53

alandipert micha I'm curious to know how you see the adoption of web components affecting hoplon down the road http://hoplon.discoursehosting.net/t/web-components-and-hoplon/481

onetom16:09:16

@flyboarder: in a nutshell webcomponents are a weak after thought still. they lack the modularization and composition power provided by the lexical scopes of clojure. of course it would be great to demonstrate this with some example, but im not so familiar with webcomponents, so im just telling u what i heard from others simple_smile

flyboarder17:09:20

@onetom thanks for the insight, i also had this feeling, it just seems like everything is trying to be a weak lisp

flyboarder17:09:06

i'm curious to see how this further develops now that polymer 1 is out

onetom17:09:07

pretty much... at least that's what micha says all the time too simple_smile

flyboarder17:09:43

it shouldnt be a problem to wrap web components in a custom hlisp element, I wonder if there is potential synergy there
