Thank you @borkdude for https://github.com/babashka/babashka - I can’t believe I waited so long to get it set up and try it. It’s making me excited to write little scripts for my own use again! I’m also impressed with the choice of included libraries. It’s been a relief multiple times to see that I already have the thing I need at my fingertips.
You're welcome :)
Feeling gratitude toward @weavejester and @sunng for their evolution of Ring and WebSockets and making it really easy to switch back and forth between the standard Ring stack and the sunng87 adapter (we went from Ring to sunng87 to get Jetty 10 and then Jetty 11 support, adopted their WebSocket implementation, and today decided to switch back to Ring 1.11.0). gratitude gratitude gratitude
today I am grateful that my furnace service guy taught me a mental model for diagnosing (and fixing!) a common problem with the furnace model I have, which will undoubtedly come in handy 3 years from now in the middle of some cold winter night
nice! Out of curiosity, have you tried gpt-4 it?
In this case it was not a problem I have (yet), so no
what was the mental model? Teach it to us to help you remember 😅
Write it down and tape it up inside the service hatch 🙂
Write it down and tape it up inside the service hatchTotally something I would do. I do a similar thing if I have to disassemble items for storage or transport --- I tape screws / bolts / clips on the parts, right by the slots where I find them. It's saved me several times.
