Yesterday was the first #clojure-norway meetup in a very long time. @magnars, @christian767 and @anders gave an excellent introduction to Datomic. First, a decade of database joy (Magnar). Then, Datomic in practice. Here's a vector of datoms, here's what you can do (Christian). Then, running Datomic in prod, and all the problems that didn't show up (Anders). https://www.kodemaker.no/ paid the bill. Great questions from the audience. This was the best introduction to Datomic I could have wished for! I'm more excited about databases and attributes than I've been in a long time. I'm happy to be part of this community. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
There were 33 enthusiastic attendees 😊 A couple of whom did not know about Clojure but wanted to learn about Datomic. Here are a few visuals. This is quite large for a tech meetup in Oslo.
Thank you @U3X7174KS for asking @christian767 the question that initiated all of this, and thanks @U01PE7630AC for keeping the Oslo Clojure Meetup alive.
