Thanks 🙂! We have a few workarounds in our queries for ^that particular bug

I spent a lot of time working on a ultra-clever approach to fixing it that ultimately was way too compute intensive; scrapped it and just used a deep merge in the right place and it looks like it works.

... and if that fix is valid, I feel quite ready to jump from 0.39-alpha-xxx to a 1.0-rc. Thoughts?
