@tony.kay I think the newest state-machine example needs (prim/get-initial-state Dialog) [here](https://github.com/fulcrologic/fulcro-incubator/blob/a2df436efe9691415214c59e54000e68c022b8e2/src/workspaces/fulcro/incubator/state_machine_ws.cljs#L191), otherwise I’m getting “Warning: value prop on input should not be null. Consider using an empty string to clear the component or undefined for uncontrolled components.”

That’s exactly what that notation means
