New update: we have found our event host / MC / speaker liaison: @mrswendyrandolph all the way from the US! Join us for Practicing Design in Practice As part of upgrading the Scicloj https://scicloj.github.io/noj/ documentation, we are trying to adapt the practices of https://download.clojure.org/presentations/DesignInPractice.pdf to open source. You can see some of that process realized in this google https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SBVwuKER52dzikkgGZzV-EbUnZO_XAN4DIL9EO3MkNw/edit?usp=sharing. We have a few goals for the study group: • Improve the noj documentation • Learn how to apply "Design in Practice" • Push the envelope of scaling the design phase in open source • Develop and adapt workflows to improve collaboration in the Scicloj ecosystem Even if you're not very interested in noj documentation, if you're interested in learning more about applying "Design in Practice" then • Join the discussion on zulip https://clojurians.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/151924-data-science/topic/Design.20in.20Practice.20project/with/575115433 • Let us know if you would be interested in participating in a regular, online "Design in Practice" meetup. • Join the real world data meetup. Info and RSVP info at https://scicloj.github.io/docs/community/groups/real-world-data/#participating

We have been learning so much from @smith.adriane in the recent real-world-data meetings. This approach has really made our conversations more thoughtful, I think. In practice, it is great to finally practice what we have learned in the talks "Design in Practice" and "Design in Practice in Practice", in practice!
