we've made a decision on that and are working on contracts - once that's done we will share the news!
I'd guess a couple weeks before that all gets finalized
looks like it will be early December this year though instead of Nov
uh, not sure
let me check
in general there's not a lot of overlap between conj and ClojureX so we might go ahead even if so
looks like the potential dates we are looking at would conflict
@alexmiller: December ❤️
it's independent
we have not started even talking about locations yet for c/west next year
although we will start on that after conj is done :)
I was thinking hawaii
portland is the hawaii of western oregon
precisely
(in which I redefine "precise")
just portland, bay area, and most recently seattle
gfredericks: as in tiny, provincial, and an exceptionally expensive place in which to vacation?
"they both have the letter 'a' in them"
we would love to have it in Vancouver, just have no idea whether that would be a giant hassle for people traveling over the border from everywhere
kidpollo: then you could refer to the USA as "flyover country"
@alexmiller: you should have it in Toronto
well, same issue
but not larger than the US community :)
we'd be happy to promote a Clojure event in Canada, but I don't think we are going to extend there with the events we have now. there are just so many things we can do!
