Just catching up. @alexmiller I will ping you at some point. At this point I’m 95% sure I’ll be holding a remote Clojure conference in February.

@sashton: That's a pretty cool idea.
That could be a good way to get people to join a local meetup group where they previously might not have, or perhaps, get someone to start one in a location that didn't previously have one. These are exactly the sort of network effects I was curious about, with respect to a remote conf.
If it drew in a larger crowd than a regular meetup, it would be like a mini-conf in each location
