Looks like the https://www.masteringemacs.org/book book is on sale. Any recommendations for this book?
It's been there forever, probably the tips from its website were of good use to me from time to time. So cannot not recommend! However, for me the best teacher for mastering Emacs should be Emacs. Probably a good chunk of people never gave a proper try to its "self-documenting", interactive aspect. I'd recommend anyone to try solve problems without google or AI for a solid month - a bit tough at first but then you'd reach a positive feedback loop.
I loved the book & whole heartedly recommend it. It takes you from basics, through context about why something is the way it is, through editing, navigation, shell & more. Iβd say itβs the foundation and the articles in the websites are building upon that base
Highly recommend.
Great book, buy it for sure, Mickey never charges for new editions and he keeps it fairly up to date
Thanks so much, all! Just bought a copy.
Definitely worth it.
