Just decided to run a profiler to find out why scrolling is so slow. I wonder if there’s any way to run a profiler at the function level.

Running some experiments using spacemacs-base instead of spacemacs as my distribution.

That's evil....! =( jokes aside I'd take this to #emacs on IRC. That is odd.

Maybe trying disabling some active modes and checking if that changes anything? Still, the profiler is probably the best way to find that
