I want to make a custom buffer with ccertain text styles for things like selected line, special column formats and stuff. I only know of using properties but I saw there is something with using faces, but not sure how to connect the two. Do I assign a special face to a string somehow and then create a separate face, or do I declare the string with th eproperties inline?
I’m re-installing a machine and setting up emacs again (using prelude). Somehow setting the mark with C-space doesn’t work anymore. Any ideas?
