@dpsutton are you on Emacs 25? try disabling semantic

I'm building from source from a little bit ago. I need to fast forward to the release before I complain from now on i suppose

BTW Startup time with Emacs 25.1 is much faster than with 24.3. Unchanged configuration (worked without errors), startup time went down from 3-5 seconds to almos instantaneous.
