hello gentlemen

deddu01:06:38

I’m relatively new to emacs

deddu01:06:03

I have a small question that is driving me insane

deddu01:06:48

I’ve set (global-set-key "\C-a" 'org-agenda) in init.el, and I can use that shortcut everywhere but inside ORG files

deddu01:06:28

what am I doing wrong?

deddu02:06:20

but (global-set-key "\C-ca" 'org-agenda) works 😐

benedek07:06:12

@zane what are the failures you're seeing?

jimmy08:06:51

does anyone have experience with large text region being sent from one buffer to another and then the destination buffer shows this

^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G^G
and it stops working ...

@deddu: org mode rebinds C-a. So it's overriding your customization

deddu12:06:24

@malabarba: thanks! it had to be something like that..

deddu12:06:45

but then why C-a doesn’t do anything at all?

deddu12:06:11

and despite this philosophical question

deddu12:06:50

any clue where can I find the source code for the org bindings?

deddu12:06:19

being new to emacs, I must admit I feel an incredible satisfaction with all the keyword shortcuts . It’s like playing an instrument
