I have a difference in my Emacs Prelude setup on my private laptop and on my work laptop

borkdude07:06:26

When I do C-x f emacs doesn't do the same thing like removing the entire file name when I press backspace

borkdude07:06:12

or suggestions when pressing tab

borkdude07:06:20

could it be the Emacs version?

escherize08:06:22

I don't think so. I do know that after upgrading prelude recently, I and others have been unable to get helm-projectile-* to work, maybe related?

borkdude08:06:26

don't know. I'm using the exact same repo

borkdude09:06:48

C-x f is working again since I turned ido-mode on manually, but no suggestions when I type M-x

borkdude09:06:34

What I'm not having for example is: M-x rof RET executes recent-open-files

malabarba15:06:08

That's not prelude nor ido

malabarba15:06:27

Though there could be a ton of packages that do stuff like that

malabarba15:06:37

Smex, helm, ivy...

malabarba15:06:24

@escherize: That helm thing will be fixed soon. There's a PR open already but @bozhidar has gone awol 🙂

bozhidar15:06:32

and by this you mean - he has so much work, he doesn’t have any time for OSS 🙂

bozhidar15:06:40

I’ll take a look at this right now

malabarba15:06:34

I know, I just thought some public shaming might remind you that OSS comes before all else

escherize15:06:16

Supreme thanks guys

escherize15:06:36

bound it to C-p p s S so I'm only a little fucked up.

escherize15:06:29

its way passed my bedtime.

escherize15:06:43

Thanks again for all ur work

malabarba: Cool! Which PR? I reported that as an issue so I’ll link it

malabarba19:06:44

It's merged already now. You can just update
